Continuing on from the idea that our minds create a virtual reality by synthesising data from our senses and memory. And that this VR has an omnipresent all knowing consciousness which is our self and we infer that physical reality must also have an omnipresent consciousness which we call God.
I started speculating about Freud’s idea of the Id, the Ego and the Super Ego.
These ideas have now been superseded but perhaps the notion that the mind is made up of various drives or components has some truth.
It therefore occurs to me that we not only infer the existence of God we also infer the existence of the Devil. In fact perhaps most supernatural mythological phenomena can be attributed to our imposing our own psychological drives onto the physical world.
